Andover House

MMA, Inc., was retained to design this 7,000 square foot home for a growing family. The home's design is strongly influenced by French-country architecture and uses stucco, stone and mahogany windows to reinforce the regional vocabulary. A unique feature is the 'port cochere' that separates the house proper from the garage and in-law suite allowing for casual protected parking and visual access to the backyard.

The interior mixes black cherry millwork, textured plaster, wrought iron and used brick to create an elegant, old world feel to the house. Interestingly, the house was prominently featured in the 2009 movie, "The Invention of Lying" staring Tina Fey, Rob Lowe, Ricky Gervais and Jennifer Garner.
