Great Island House

MMA, Inc. was commissioned to design a stylish vacation home that combined the classic Cape & Islands architecture with a more open and tropical interior. Principal John MacDonald used figured sapele and carved soapstone mantels in concert with curved planes and elements to subtly reinforce this theme and enhance views of Nantucket Sound.

Operable glass walls lead to wrap-around porches and balconies for seamless transition from inside to out. Glass railings allow for unimpeded vistas making this special home the ultimate for summer living.
