Cape Cod House

MMA created this casually elegant oceanfront home that streamlines the classic lines of the Cape Cod house. Sweeping views of ocean and dunes dictated a linear arrangement of spaces to best take advantage of the site's panorama.

Judicious use of teak, shingle, beadboard and copper help define the exterior's facade, while mahogany and painted trim are deftly balanced on a warm and sophisticated interior. The home's layout is transitional in nature, allowing spaces to intermingle without losing their own unique character. The end result is a layering of architectural vocabulary and spaces as a proper foreground to incredible vistas of the Atlantic Ocean.
