Brookline House

MMA incorporated a strong Shingle-Style influence on this home set in a prestigious Boston suburb. A stone plinth, utilizing Roxbury puddingstone, anchors the house to the site, yielding a substantial street presence. The structure subtly changes levels from the house proper to the secondary entry and again to the Garage to follow the existing grades. Inside, the vocabulary is streamlined, using dark-stained oak floors and crisp white trim and millwork to evoke a summer cottage feeling.
