Interiors Design Process

Morehouse MacDonald and Associates offers full interior design services complementing our award-winning architectural design. Our practice has had the pleasure of working with some of the industry’s biggest names in the interior design industry over the past 30 years, but not all of our clients opt to take that path when choosing how to furnish and complete their new home or home renovation.
MMA created a new interiors division to provide our clients with an alternative approach when thinking about furniture, fixtures, and accessories. Our in-house capabilities provide benefits to the overall design process that cannot be matched by working with external interiors consultants. When architects and interior designers work under the same roof the decision process and the collaborative design iteration process gain more than just speed but also quality—particularly with regards to integrations between architecture and interior design.

The approach of working with Morehouse MacDonald and Associates (MMA) for both architecture and interiors is especially attractive to our clients who are working on building homes abroad or remote from New England. This is where MMA’s interiors division gained its foothold, as the benefits of an integrated offering with its time-saving advantages and tight integration of information between architecture and interiors have greater significance due to the nature and challenges of working in foreign countries.

Morehouse MacDonald and Associates’s interior services include traditional furniture, fabrics, and window and door treatments (soft scape) along with accompanying material selections (hardscape) for floors, bathrooms, kitchens, and cabinetry design, along with all cabinetry hardware, accessories, and appliances. Additionally, MMA has been hired by clients to provide art and sculpture acquisition and recommendation services and complete house accessory fit-out—including all kitchen cutlery, tableware, and cookware.
Whether a client chooses to have MMA provide interior design services or has an interior designer already selected, MMA is fully capable of ensuring that our clients receive superior interior design integration with our architectural services.
